Summary
Stempelweg does not collect any data about you. It has no account, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, no third-party software development kits, and it makes no network requests at all. Everything you enter — passes, stamp points, stamps, photos, notes and tour days — is stored only inside the app's own storage on your device, using Apple's standard on-device storage mechanisms.
What the app stores, and where
- Passes and stamp points you create or edit, including the pin thresholds you copy in from your own paper Wanderpass.
- Stamps you log: the date, the point, an optional photograph and an optional note copied from a Gipfelbuch.
- Tour days you record: the starting point, height gain, hours walked, trail grades and weather.
- App preferences, such as your chosen theme, and whether haptics, sound or the evening reminder are switched on.
All of the above stays in the app's private container on your device. None of it is transmitted anywhere, backed up to a server we run, or shared with us or with any other company. If you use Apple's own iCloud device backup, that backup is between you and Apple; Stempelweg has no part in it.
Camera
Stempelweg asks for camera access only when you tap the camera button while logging a stamp, so you can photograph the physical stamp or summit cross. The photo is saved only inside the app, attached to that stamp. The camera is never activated in the background and the photo is never uploaded anywhere.
Photo library
If you choose a photo from your library instead of taking a new one, Stempelweg uses Apple's system photo picker. The picker runs outside the app and hands over only the photo you explicitly select — the app never sees or scans the rest of your library.
Notifications
If you switch on the optional evening reminder in Settings, Stempelweg asks for permission to send a single local notification at the time you choose. This notification is generated and delivered entirely on your device; no reminder content or schedule is ever sent to us or to any other party.
Children's privacy
Stempelweg is a general-audience hiking companion and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, adult or child, because it does not collect information from anyone at all.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be published at this same address with an updated date at the top.
