About Stempelweg
Stempelweg is a companion for hikers who collect stamps toward a regional Wandernadel — the bronze, silver and gold hiking pins awarded across the Austrian Alps. Open the Pass tab, tap the point you've just reached, press its stamp and add a photo and a Gipfelbuch line. The app works fully offline and keeps everything on your device; it is not published by, or affiliated with, any Alpenverein section or tourism board.
Frequently asked questions
How do I add my own stamp points?
Open the Points tab, tap Add point, and enter its name, kind (hut, Gipfelkreuz, Alm or Gasthaus), altitude, walking time and trail grade. Drag points to match the order printed on your paper pass.
Where do the pin stamp counts come from?
Every regional pass prints its own rules. Open the Pins tab, tap Edit pin rules, and type in the stamp counts exactly as they appear on your own pass. Stempelweg then tracks your progress toward each level for you.
Does the app track my location or show a map?
No. Stempelweg does not use GPS and does not show maps or routes. You log a stamp yourself, on the spot, the same way you would in the paper pass.
Can I use more than one pass at once?
Yes. Add each regional pass you carry in Settings → Your passes, and switch the active one from the Pass tab at any time. Stamps, points and pin progress are all kept separate per pass.
What happens to my photos and notes?
They are stored only inside the app, on your device. Nothing is uploaded. See the Privacy Policy for the full details.
